Formerly the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, the SeriousFun Children’s Network is the world’s largest family of therapeutic camps for children with serious illnesses and life-threatening conditions. One of Hasbro’s longtime partners, SeriousFun creates opportunities for children and their families to reach beyond serious illness to discover joy, confidence and a new world of possibilities. The camps eliminate all obstacles to a child’s participation; there is no cost to the family for a child to attend. Activities are designed to empower all campers to experience success despite their disease or disability.
Our partnership with SeriousFun supports fun and innovative programs at five camps near Hasbro operating facilities – Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Connecticut, United States; The Painted Turtle, California, United States; Camp Dynamo, Italy; Barretstown, Ireland; and Over the Wall Camp, United Kingdom. One example is the CampOut program at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, which brings the fun camp experience to former campers in their hometowns. Hasbro hosts a CampOut event at our corporate headquarters in Rhode Island, as volunteers work directly with the camp staff to create a fun experience for the kids, including oversized versions of classic Hasbro games, like Jenga. Hasbro also supports the Outpost Program at the Painted Turtle Camp in Lake Hughes, CA. This program delivers the camp experience in playrooms of clinics and medical facilities, as well as at kids’ hospital bedsides.
In fact, during these Family Weekend programs, campers have a chance to "play with the pros" as Team Hasbro employees volunteer parts of their weekend to host Hasbro Game Days while in session!
