The Power of Service is one of our core philanthropic pillars, but it is also core to our employee culture. Hasbro employees volunteer thousands of hours every year – service isn’t just something we do, it’s part of who we are. The mission behind our employee volunteer program is to “Make our Community Smile.” It is from this simple, yet very significant philosophy, that Team Hasbro was developed. All organizations receiving philanthropic support from Hasbro, including the Hasbro Children’s Fund, are required to agree to our non-discrimination policy.
Employees are able to take four hours of paid time off every month to volunteer with programs or organization the benefit children. Specialized company sponsored volunteer projects are also organized and scheduled throughout the year
Volunteer projects are also valuable team-building tools. Special signature programs were developed as a way to help employees easily coordinate volunteer projects with their departments / teams – whether it’s hosting a Hasbro Game Day or planning an Operation Playspace project. Learn more about each of these programs!
With such a diverse group of talented and creative employees, we often see Team Hasbro using their unique skills and talents to benefit children. Examples of these projects include helping organizations with their rebranding efforts, the production of videos by our Hasbro Studios team and the coordination of Hasbro career day shadowing programs to mentor local youth.
