Entertainment One (eOne), Hasbro’s entertainment studio, has announced a new first-look, multi-year television deal with Beau Willimon and Jordan Tappis’ production company, Westward. As part of the deal, Willimon, the esteemed Emmy® award and Academy® award nominated writer and producer, will write and oversee development of a TV adaption of the iconic Hasbro property, Risk.

“As we continue to build out eOne’s world-class content slate, we couldn’t think of more perfect partners than Beau and Jordan – whose award-winning storytelling and imagination are among the best in the business,” said Michael Lombardo, President, Global Television, eOne. “In Beau, we’ve found an amazing combination of brilliant producer, singular creator, and avid fan of Risk. We can’t wait to work with him and the rest of the Westward team to reimagine that brand and so much more.”

Said Willimon and Tappis, “All of us at Westward are thrilled to join forces with eOne to bring to life some of the most successful IP in the marketplace as well as partner on our extensive slate of scripted television shows. We’re excited to develop Risk as our first project together.”

Willimon’s television credits include creating the award-winning Netflix series “House of Cards,” and Hulu’s space drama “The First” along with Academy® award nominated films Mary Queen of Scots and The Ides of March. He and Westward are represented by Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham.

eOne’s lineup of original and acquired content features over 50 series and long-form programs commissioned by over 20 different broadcast and cable networks including eOne-produced series “The Rookie” starring Nathan Fillion for ABC; “Nurses” on NBC; limited series “Run,” from Vicky Jones and Phoebe Waller-Bridge for HBO; “Burden of Truth” starring Kristen Kreuk on the CW; “Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez” for Netflix; upcoming series including “Cruel Summer” for Freeform; “Yellowjackets” for Showtime; as well as past limited series “Sharp Objects” starring Amy Adams for HBO; and “Designated Survivor,” starring Kiefer Sutherland for ABC/Netflix. eOne recently announced a partnership with Jonathan Entwistle, an overall deal with Emmy-award winning writer/producer Bryan Cogman as well as first-look deals with prolific author James Patterson, and producer Jeremy Latcham.
