For the 14th straight year, Hasbro has appeared on the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s annual list of 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces in the U.S.
The Foundation partnered with RTI International, an independent, nonprofit research institute, to survey employers across the United States and score participants based on three criteria: financial reimbursement, paid leave and — new in 2020 — the percentage of employees eligible for those benefits.
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a national nonprofit public charity dedicated exclusively to finding permanent homes for the more than 150,000 children waiting to be adopted in North America’s foster care systems.
Hasbro was also recognized in the 'Foster Care Benefits' category for offering paid parental leave to foster parents. Hasbro offers eligible employees 10 weeks paid leave with adoption financial assistance up to $15,000 per child and foster care assistance of $1,500 per child.
Created by Wendy’s® founder Dave Thomas, who was adopted, the Foundation implements evidence-based, results-driven national service programs, foster care adoption awareness campaigns and innovative grantmaking.
